30 Minute Sports Therapy / Sports Massage

For those who are looking for a highly focused treatment. For example, you only need a specific area focused on such as the shoulder, or just the lower back.

Children of any ages can get a treatment and it can be very beneficial especially if they are athletic. Since their bodies are much smaller, a 30 minute treatment is usually the best option.

Treatment can include a variety of techniques such as trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, positional release, soft tissue release, soft tissue mobilisation, peripheral joint mobilisation, myofascial release.

Indian head massage is a relaxing holistic treatment that uses acupressure massage on the head, face, neck and shoulders. It will be performed the traditional Indian way with you in a seated position.

The aim of Indian head massage is to release tension in the muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. Indian head massage can also help with relieving fatigue, insomnia, headaches, and sinusitis. Psychological benefits can be release of anxiety and stress, increase levels of alertness and concentration.

30 Minute Combination Treatment Including Myofascial Dry Cupping

As long with myofasical dry cupping, treatment can including a variety of techniques, such as trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, positional release, soft tissue release, soft tissue mobilisation, peripheral joint mobilisation / myofascial release. Myofascial dry cupping is a soft tissue treatment that involves depressing cups and the skin, to create a vacuum. This lifts the soft tissue and creates an upward stretch within the muscle.

The benefits are it can reduces pain, increase localised circulation, increase his oxygen and nutrition content within the tissue, removes stagnant blood and waste products, re initiates the healing process to microtrauma, stretches fascia and connective tissue, which leads to a relaxation response.

The red marks are a result of the blood being pulled into the area. The darker the mark, the more stagnant fluids (toxins, blood and lymph) are brought up during the treatment. The marks last anywhere from a few hours to 15 days, however the more often you receive cupping for the same issue the lighter the marks will be.

Unfortunately, if you take anticoagulants you cannot have cupping as a treatment.

I recently had a physio session with Sophie and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in Sophie was welcoming and professional, making me feel at ease right away.

Sophie was incredibly knowledgable and attentive. Sophie took the time to understand my concerns and explained the treatment plan in detail.

The session included a combination of manual therapy, exercises and some useful tips for managing my issue at home.
